Bahrain visa for Malaysian

Malaysian citizens who plan to visit Bahrain have now the opportunity of applying online for an electronic visa. You are no longer required to go to the embassy and get a consular visa. All you have to do is use the services provided by iVisa. However, first, you need to check your eligibility. iVisa has a smart tool named Visa Checker that helps you to know if you qualify for a Bahrain eVisa or not. You only need to access the tool, input Malaysian as your nationality, choose Bahrain as your destination country. All the information you need will be displayed automatically. It is as simple as that.

What documents are required?

Applying for a Malaysian eVisa to visit Bahrain is easier than you imagine. You only have to provide some things to get started. All these things are accessible. Here is what you need to provide:

  • Valid Passport – obtaining a passport is simple and easy, and you may already have one. However, one of the conditions is that your passport is valid and maintains its validity for at least another six months from your date of departure to Bahrain. If it loses its validity, you need a new one. If this happens, your visa application will be rejected.

  • E-mail address – while the visa will be linked to your passport electronically, you still need a hardcopy, it will be requested at the immigration office. iVisa will send you a copy of the document via e-mail in PDF format that you need to print. As the delivery is made via e-mail, you must make sure that you provide a valid e-mail address.

  • Means of subsistence – Immigration officers need to make sure that Malaysian citizens are not in Bahrain seeking illegal work. Providing proof that you can support yourself during your stay in Bahrain constitutes such evidence.

  • Return flight ticket – the Bahrain eVisa will let you be in Bahrain country for a maximum of 30 days Per Entry. Irish and British citizens can stay up to 90 days. To ensure that you will follow the rule, proof of return is needed. A return flight ticket will provide precisely that evidence.

  • Means of payment – during the application process, you have to do the payment for the visa and the services provided by iVisa. You can opt for a credit or a debit card, and if you have a Paypal account, iVisa accepts that as well.

Bahrain eVisa for Malaysian– the application form

The form designed by iVisa is straightforward. Three simple steps to complete it. Follow them and if you need some help, you can always contact iVisa’s support service. Make a call, someone is available 24/7.

  1. In step one of the application form you will need to fill in your basic information. It is so easy to complete that you probably take about five minutes of your time. Then, you have to select a processing time. Keep in mind that your choice will modify the cost of your Bahrain eVisa. iVisa provides you three options, they are as:

    • Standard processing lapse – this is a common choice, maybe because it is the cheapest option. The price is USD $125.99, and your visa will be ready for you within 7 days.

    • Rush processing lapse – a faster option, with it your application will be processed within 5 days, as you expect the total amount will reach USD $246.99.

    • Super Rush processing lapse – iVisa provides an urgency or emergency option as well. This time, your application will be processed in just 4 days. Faster, isn't it? this is why the cost USD $340.99.

  2. The second step of the application consists of a carefully revision and payment. Make sure that every piece of information provided is accurate. Once the application submitted, you won't be able to correct any mistake, and the price is non-refundable.

  3. Last but not least, the third part consists of a questionnaire and document upload. The extra documents depend on every particular case, so it is not the same for everyone. If the government requires additional info, we will notify you by email.

As you clearly see, the application is not challenging. The evisa is valid for 30 days after arrival and will permits you to stay in Bahrain for a maximum of 30 days Per Entry (unless you are Irish or British, in that case you can stay up to 90 days). It is not expensive, and is quite better than visiting the embassy anyway.
