A lot of US citizens who travel to Cuba like to purchase their Cuba visa from the airline they are flying with. Jetblue is one of those airlines that can provide such service. You can get your pink card, also called a Tourist Card from one of the available JetBlue visa service kiosks in New York, Fort Lauderdale, and Orlando. Unfortunately, if you are looking to apply online for a Cuba Tourist Card, JetBlue Airlines cannot help you. They do not provide online service yet.

To purchase a Cuba visa from Jetblue, all you need is a passport that remains valid for at least another 6 months from your date of arrival in Cuba and travel insurance. All travelers must present travel insurance during their entire trip to Cuba and you will be asked to show it at arrival. As for the cost, the Cuba visa from JetBlue costs only $50. Truth be told, it is one of the cheapest options you have. As you can imagine, the Cuba visa from Jetblue can be used by its passengers only. If you do not travel with Jetblue Airlines, you cannot use their pink card. Also, keep in mind that there are special requirements for Cuban-born citizens.

What is the alternative to a Cuba visa from Jetblue?

If you do not want to purchase a Cyba visa the same day you travel, or if you want your Tourist Card online, you can use the services provided by iVisa. The application process is entirely online, and your visa can arrive in as little as 24 hours. The requirements are the same as the Cuba visa you get from Jetblue, but you can get the document in advance.

As for the cost of the iVisa Cuba Tourist Card, you to have to pay a little bit more compare to Jetblue. However, the cost of the Cuba Tourist card depends on which processing time you select. iVisa gives you three excellent options:

  • Standard processing – your application will be processed and your Tourist card delivered in 3 to 5 business days. This option costs $110
  • Rush processing – your Tourist card will arrive within 1 to 3 business days, and the fee is $130
  • Super Rush processing – you will have your Cuba Tourist card in 1 business day, and you will be charged $150.

The application form from iVisa is simple to complete, and you should be done in no more than 10 minutes. One of the best things about applying online with iVisa is that you enjoy 24/7 customer support. If you need any help, someone will be able to help you every step of the way, free of charge.

To answer our question, yes, you can get a Cuba visa from Jetblue Airlines. However, you have other options as well, and the online Cuba Tourist Card seems a lot more convenient to obtain. Both versions will provide the same stay period of 30 days with the possibility of getting one extension, and you are granted a single entry.
