Do Cambodian citizens need a visa to visit India?

Yes, Cambodian citizens planning a trip to India will need to snag an Indian eVisa before they set off. Thanks to India's eVisa system, it's now a whole lot easier for travelers from Cambodia to get their entry permits online, without too much fuss.

Cambodian travelers have a few eVisa options to pick from, depending on what's bringing them to India. Let's peek at the top three:

  • Tourist eVisa: Great for those looking to soak up India's rich cultural scenes, catch up with family or friends, or maybe drop into a short-term yoga retreat. It's your ticket to discovering India's historical gems and lively celebrations.

How long is an India Tourist Visa valid for?

Fill me in

Choosing the right Tourist eVisa for your trip to India is key, as it affects how long you can stay and how often you can visit. There are a few Tourist eVisa options out there, each with its own set of rules on validity and entries.

  • 30-day visa: This one's perfect for shorter trips. It lets you enter India twice within a 30-day window starting from the date it's issued. So, if your visa kicks in on September 1st, you'll need to wrap up your travels by September 30th.

  • 1-year visa: If you're eyeing multiple visits within a year, this visa has you covered with multiple entries. You're allowed a stay of up to 90 days on each visit. However, if you're from the US, Canada, or the UK, you’re allowed a stay of up to 180 days per visit.

  • 5-year visa: For those planning to visit India several times over a few years, this visa is a gem. It grants multiple entries for five years from the date it's issued. Just like the 1-year visa, each visit can last up to 90 days, but this extends to 180 days for nationals from the US, Canada, and the UK.

Both the 1-year and 5-year visas offer the flexibility to come and go as often as you’d like, as long as each visit stays within the allowed time frame.
