Since the electronic visa system has been adopted by more and more countries as the years went by, it is only natural to wonder if the destination you wish to travel to in the future adopted the system as well. As far as Kyrgyzstan is concerned, we are happy to announce that it did, indeed, adopted the policy, and it is available to all those nationalities who are neither visa-exempt nor eligible for a visa on arrival. Some of the nationalities who are eligible for a visa on arrival also qualify for a Kyrgyzstan e-visa, so you may be able to choose between the two.

How to apply for a Kyrgyzstan visa online?

To get a Kyrgyzstan visa online you must first check your eligibility. To do that, you can use iVisa’s Visa Checker which is located in the top right corner of this page. It is a simple feature but it can tell you what you need to know in just a second. All you have to do is select your nationality from the drag-down menu on the left, and then you must choose Kyrgyzstan as your destination in the right drag-down menu. The result is displayed in just an instant. Moreover, if you are eligible for an electronic visa, you will be redirected to a page from where you can apply.

The next step would be for you to make sure that you have everything you need to help iVisa get the process started. Here is what you must provide:

  • Valid passport – all applicants must have a valid passport to apply for a Kyrgyzstan visa. Moreover, the passport needs to maintain its validity for at least another 6 months after your visa expires.

  • E-mail address – iVisa delivers the travel document via e-mail in PDF format. You need to provide an e-mail address to which you have access.

  • Means on online payment – since you need to make the payment during the application process, you need a method payment that allows you to pay online. A credit or debit card will do, but iVisa also accepts PayPal, Alipay, and WeChat.

  • Invitation letter – this requirement applies only to people who travel to Kyrgyzstan for business purposes and apply for a Kyrgyzstan Business Visa. The letter must come from an organization registered in Kyrgyzstan, and it must contain the name of the company, the contact information, and the registration number.

After that, you must fill in the application form. However, that is not difficult, and if you need any help, you can contact iVisa’s support service for assistance. It is available 24/7 and free of charge.

The application form has three steps. The first one requires you to insert your basic information and select a processing time. Your selection determines the cost of your Kyrgyzstan visa. Your options are as follows:

  • Standard processing time – this is the cheapest and slowest option you can select. Your application is processed within 3 business days, and you must pay a fee of $76.20.

  • Rush processing time – this time, your Kyrgyzstan e-visa arrives within 2 business days, and you must pay $106.20.

  • Super Rush processing time – if you need to be on the plane to Kyrgyzstan the next day, you want to choose this processing time. It takes 1 business day for your application to be processed, but you will be charged $141.20.

The fees above are for a Kyrgyzstan Tourist e-visa. Depending on your nationality, you may need a transit or a business visa, in which case the cost differs. The Kyrgyzstan Transit e-visa costs $60.75, $90.75, and $125.75 respectively for each processing time. The Kyrgyzstan Business e-visa is $96.80, $126.80, and $161.80 respectively.

The second step covers the payment and revision, while the third is for documents upload. Once you are done, you can submit your application, and you are done.

So to answer your question, yes, you can obtain a Kyrgyzstan visa online, but only if you are eligible for an electronic visa.

How will the Kyrgyzstan visa look like?
