Myanmar

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

As an Italian passport holder, do I need a visa for Myanmar?

Yes, you need to apply for a visa to visit Myanmar. Nevertheless, there are also other regulations they will need to be aware of. You can see more information about those requirements in the next questions.

What does eVisa means?

The Myanmar eVisa is a mandatory travel requirement for nationals from qualifying countries who want to travel to the Republic of Myanmar for tourism or business reasons.

How long time can I spend in Myanmar?

It will also depend on the type of visa. If you get the tourist eVisa, you can remain in Myanmar for 28 days in Total.

On the other side, if you go holding a business eVisa, you have the accessibility to stay in Myanmar for 70 days in Total.

What are the requirements?

Before you complete the application form, it is best if you gather everything needed. It makes the process smoother. iVisa will handle all the bureaucracy and whatnot, but first, you will require to send some info. Here is what you need:

  • Valid passport – It shouldn't be a problem to have a passport, just make sure that it is still valid. An expired passport could easily lead to a denied application.

  • Digital photo – this photo should be the most recent one. Also be assured that it meets the criteria (white background, no face gestures, etc.)

  • Email address – It is true that the eVisa will be linked to your passport in an electronic manner, but you need a copy to show at the immigration office in Myanmar. iVisa will send you one via email in PDF format. Print a few copies so that you can put one in each bag.

  • Payment Options – While completing the online form, you will be asked to make the payment for both the visa and iVisa's fee. We accept credit or debit cards, and Paypal too.

What are the prices and also the processing times?

Most Italian are concerned about the cost and waiting time for their eVisa. It's ok if you have this concern, but you can feel relaxed that iVisa offers you great options for your e-Visa depending on how soon you want it. iVisa provides an excellent service at competitive prices. The cost of your visa is determined by the processing time you select. As for that, you have three options:

  • Standard processing (7 days) - USD $126.99.

  • Rush processing (5 days) - USD $191.99.

  • Super Rush processing (4 days) - USD $269.99.

How much time do I need to apply?

You just need at least 20 minutes and you're ready to go with this application process.

How can I apply?

Nobody likes a difficult online form, and that's why iVisa provides one of the easiest application forms you can find. There are three steps Italian need to complete, and if you find yourself in need of help, iVisa provides excellent service 24/7.

Can I enter all the times I want to Myanmar?

This vary according to the type of visa you have. For tourism purposes, you have the accesibility to enter Single Entry.

My children want to travel with me, what should I do?

For kids under 7 years old, they need to apply with their parents, in the same form. Of course, they won't have to pay an extra fee, just USD $50.00 per applicant. In case your child is older than 7 years old, they must apply for their own eVisa and pay the total fee that we already mentioned before.

What would happen if I didn't make my booking yet?
