A trip to Oman will most definitely require a visa. Only 6 countries in the world are visa exempt, and apart from New Zealand, they are all from the Middle East. That is why your chances of needing a visa are pretty high. However, the good news is that your chances are relatively high to qualify for an Oman e-visa which is very easy to get. The process is entirely online, and iVisa can help you get it in as little as 12 hours. To check your eligibility, use iVisa’s Visa Checker, and you will know in a second.

Check to see if you meet the requirements

If you qualify for an Oman e-visa, you need to look over the list of conditions and check every item of the list. Even so, there is nothing out of the ordinary on that list. Here is what you need to provide so that iVisa can expedite your visa:

  • Passport – all applicants need to have a valid passport that remains valid for at least another 6 months from the date of arrival in Oman. Otherwise, you risk having your application denied.

  • A passport scan – the information page is the most important

  • A digital photo of yourself – make sure that it is taken in the last 6 months.

  • E-mail address – when you apply with iVisa, you will receive the visa via e-mail, so make sure that you introduce a valid and correct e-mail address.

  • Means of payment – iVisa accepts multiple methods of payment such as credit/debit cards, Paypal, Alipay, or WeChat.

  • Valid visa or residence permit – some nationalities require a valid visa or a residence permit issued by the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, or Australia. These nationalities would not be able to apply for an Oman e-visa otherwise.

Fill in the application form

Once you see that you meet all the requirements, you can proceed with filling in the application form. It should take you about 15 minutes to do it, and iVisa has an excellent support service that is able to provide assistance 24/7. The form is broken down into three steps.

Step one is all about your personal information and some details about your trip to Oman. You must also select a processing time for your application and a visa type. When it comes to the former, you have three options:

  • Standard processing – your visa application is processed within 72 hours, and the price is $82.

  • Rush processing – you will receive your visa within 48 hours, and the fee is $132.

  • Super rush processing – this is the fastest option. You will get your Oman e-visa in just 12 hours, but you will be charged $162.

The fees above apply to the single-entry visa. If you want the multiple-entry version, it costs $78 more for every processing time. Holders of a GCC residence permit are charged only $43, $93, or $123 respectively.

The second step is about revision and payment, and the third consists of additional documents upload. That is it. All you do at this point is wait for your Oman entry visa to arrive via e-mail.

As you can see for yourself, getting an Oman entry visa has never been easier. You apply online, dar or night, and the whole process is very convenient. You barely have to do anything because iVisa will handle all the bureaucratic hassle.
