Updated on Feb 16, 2024

Singapore is a fantastic Asia destination, offering beautiful views and many cultural attractions! However, foreign visitors have a few entry requirements to travel to Singapore.

China passport holders must present an entry visa and SG Arrival Card to the officers from Immigration & Checkpoints Authority at the entry into Singapore. Both travel documents are mandatory for the arrival in Singapore.

Singapore Marina Bay

The SG Arrival Card is a particular Singapore immigration requirement, but pretty easy to get. It’s a form that works as a customs registration form and health declaration. You can apply online with iVisa instead of filling out this form upon arrival, saving you time when you disembark. Keep reading this article if you want to know more details.

What is a Singapore Arrival Card for Chinese citizens?

The SG Arrival Card is a mandatory document if you seek entry into Singapore. This card was designed to replace the Disembarkation/Embarkation Card (DE Card). The document combines customs registration and health declaration in a single form.

It’s quick and easy to fill out the Singapore arrival card application. You must complete the online form with details about your recent travel history, current health status, and personal and contact information.

As a result, the Ministry of Health in Singapore can access the data from the linked Health Declaration and arrival card, which may be helpful for local healthcare providers in case of a medical emergency involving the traveler.

Bear in mind that the SG Arrival card does not guarantee entry into Singapore; you still need a visa.

How long can Chinese citizens stay in Singapore with the Arrival Card?

Actually, it’s the Singapore visa that determines how long foreign visitors can stay in Singapore. You should consult the exact terms and conditions of your Singapore visa before travel.

How long is the Arrival Card valid?

It is a Single Entry document and you can use it only once. The Arrival Card is 30 days after issued or until passport expires, and you have two weeks to enter the country from the moment it was issued. We recommend filling out this travel document at least three days before you visit Singapore.

What are the requirements for the citizens of China?

iVisa asks very little of you so that you can occupy your time with more important things than filling out your Singapore Arrival Card. However, you have to provide some information and documents to start the process. Here is a list of what you need:

  • Copy of your valid passport. Your document must remain valid for at least six months. You must upload the scan of your passport in PNG, JPG, or JPEG format.

  • Proof of accommodation, such as your hotel’s name and address.

  • Itinerary and trip details, such as flight details and your arrival date.

  • Credit or debit card to pay the service fees online.

  • Valid email address to receive the Arrival Card.

What are the processing times and costs for the Singapore SG Arrival Card?

When you apply online for a Singapore SG Card, you have to choose among three processing time options. The price varies depending on how quickly you would like your SG Card. Your choices are as follows:

  • Standard processing – Your application is processed in 24 hours, and you will be charged USD $55.99.

  • Rush processing – This option is a bit faster. Your Singapore SG Arrival Card arrives in your inbox within 4 hours, and you need to pay USD $102.99.

  • Super Rush processing – This is the fastest option since iVisa will process your application within 30 minutes. It costs USD $174.99.

How can I apply for the SG Card?

Once you gather all the required documents mentioned above, you can proceed to fill out the application form. The application process takes 15 minutes or less. It consists of three stages.

  • First, you must insert your personal information and a few details about your trip. Also, select a processing time.

  • Second, double-check all the information to avoid mistakes. Then, proceed with the payment.

  • Third, and last one, you must upload the documents. iVisa will let you know what you need to provide. After completing the three steps, submit your application and wait for your document to arrive in the selected timeframe.

Entering Singapore, you must present the Arrival Card to the immigration officers. So, we recommend you print it and carry it with you.

What should I do after I complete the application form for my Singapore SG Card?

Once you complete the application process, you'll receive the card via email according to your chosen processing time. So, you don't need to deal with any embassy to proceed with this process. We do it for you so you can save a lot of time.

How will I realize when my document is ready?

No worries! We will let you know about that through an email. So as long as you provide a valid email address, you'll always get informed and updated about your SG Arrival Card process.

Can I apply for family or friends if they're from China too?

You can easily apply for them, but they must be from China too, or at least from a country with this card available to enter Singapore. To do that, you must have all their required documents as well.

If you are applying for just one friend or family member, you can apply here by entering their personal information. If you have to get the document for more than one person, you can also do it by selecting ”Add new applicant” in the application form.

How to get a valid Singapore Visa for Chinese citizens

Chinese visitors need a valid visa to enter Singapore. Some nationalities can apply for a Singapore e-Visa, but iVisa does not currently offer this service to citizens of China.

The visa requirements include filling out the 14A visa application form, providing a recent passport-sized color photo (count on [iVisa Photo Service] if you need one), and a photocopy of your passport biodata page.

You must visit the nearest Singapore Overseas Mission to submit your visa application. The immigration agents may also request other documents on a case-by-case basis.

I still have questions about Singapore travel documents. Who can I contact?

It's ok if you still have questions and certain doubts about documents for the arrival in Singapore! You can contact our customer service team or email us at [email protected]. Our visa experts are available 24/7 and will be happy to help you.

As you can see, getting a Singapore SG Arrival Card for the citizens of China is a piece of cake. iVisa does most of the work by handling the bureaucracy part, so take advantage of it and don't worry about papers. Count on us to simplify travel and have a nice trip!
